Dear friends,

In just our first week, the response to MiltCentral has been nothing short of mind-boggling, with nearly 4,500 visits, 400 messages, and close-to 30,000 inidividual page views! Even if we sustained this pace without any growth, that would still mean over 1,500,000 pages viewed per year, but all the indications suggest that these figures will increase massively.

Milton has produced 14 amazing videos, received the fantastic news of the bone marrow match with his big sister Alex, and continues to document his experience on an almost hourly basis. We are 'looking forward' to the world's first live broadcast of a chemotherapy session on MiltCentral soon!

On our third day, we were approached with a view to creating a TV documentary about Milton's story, while news of Milton's efforts has reached every continent. Milton has been nominated for a National Teaching Fellowship award. Today sees the launch of MiltNews™ - a weekly e-newsletter with all the latest from MiltCentral, and our first weekly competition.

The response to Milton's appeals for blood donations has been amazing - so many of you have donated that we haven't even begun to catch up with the backlog - and it looks as if our BloodSport™ campaign will need to expand to include the whole of Charing Cross Hospital! Soon MiltCentral will begin collecting donations for leukaemia research, and we hope to raise as much as possible for the duration of Milton's fight with the disease. We are also continuing to encourage people to register as bone marrow donors.

MiltCentral will continue to follow Milton's progress and document every aspect of his treatment and handling of leukaemia - right through to his eventual bone marrow transplant (summer 2005) and subsequent return to "normal life".

However, to sustain this wonderful project, MiltCentral is in desperate need of support. We are seeking sponsorship from the private sector to help meet the spiralling costs of maintenance, development, PR, communications, and our web hosting services. The rewards for potential sponsors are significant - affiliation with this incredible project will bring the opportunity of widespread exposure both online and offline. If you or someone you know could help, please contact us. Thank you.
